PRINCIPAL

Dear Friends,

St. Xavier’s School has a rich tradition of serving the nation in a distinguished way. I am proud to be a part of it. I am sure each individual associated with the school feels so. We immensely value our tradition, imbibe values and learn lessons from it.

Human beings are meaning seekers. Only those who have the sense of history are able to go beyond it. I deem that our common history and heritage beckons us, to march forward beyond the known horizons. Let us strive towards a new future, counting on our natural talents, inner strength and trust in God. ‘We can do all things with the power of the one who strengthens us’. Hence, we march forward ‘to be a man’, to stand up, to be counted with the noble souls. May God bless and guide all our undertakings.

This website will provide information about us and, the activities that go on in the school campus. I sincerely thank those who designed, developed and will continue to update from time to time.

May God bless you abundantly. Wish you all the very best in life..Stay connected.

MANAGER

(3-6-2022 To Present)

St. Xavier’s, Bhiloda, Gujarati medium school started more than 25 years ago to cater to the educational needs of Adivasi community of Aravalli district. Today the school is from KG class to class 12. Today more than 700 students (99%) are Tribal children, who are socioeconomically and educationally still backward and still need to be educationally viable.

Xavier’s school has made great stride in educating the tribal children and today, many of our past students have joined the government, armed forces and police force services. Still others have become teachers, nurses and in good positions in the private sector.

St. Xavier’s, in order to empower further the tribal community, started 8 years ago a separate English medium school. Thus we have furthered our vision and mission the empowerment of the tribal community of Aravalli/ Sabarkanta districts.

We have now launched a web-site of St. Xavier’s School, Bhiloda. Through this web-site, we would like to reach out to all and share our dreams, aspiration, work and achievement people, who passed out from Xavier’s and others, who are interested in our work and achievements.

On the occasion of the launch of this web-site, I wish that through this on-line communication, we make partners in the betterment of the school.

With best wishes

FORMER PRINCIPAL

(June 84 to May 85)

St. Xavier’s school, Bhiloda started in June 1984. For the inauguration of the school Rt. Rev. Bishop Charley Gomes had come. Rev Fr. John Muthuppan was the parish priest and the manager of the school. Rev. Fr. Stany Jabamalai was in charge of the school affairs. I took one year leave from Umreth St.Xavier’s and came here to start the school. A week later Premjibhai from Dadvav was here as a teacher too. He was an experienced teacher. I found hard to teach Gujarati and Maths etc. So, he took these subjects + Social studies.

We had over 50 children admitted to the 5th std. We tried our best in coaching them but they did not show any interest in studies. Therefor Fr. Stany and myself visited those children’s houses in Khalvad and other nearby places and made the parents understand. If they are going to keep them in the 5th std, they will surely fail, so put them into lower classes and they did. We had many catholic students from Pragatifarm, Dodisara and Upsal. Finally, we had 64 students only. The students were very good. We cleaned up the school premises and planted many flowers plants. There was a small well behind, two students went on and cleaned the well, so we got water from the well for our flower garden.

We also had a picnic to Himatnagar after the Diwali Holidays. I told students don’t harass your parents for money but do little work during Diwali holidays and earn Rs. 50. One child collected Rs. 150 going with other people to Idar for work. All the money he gave to me. He was a very poor child so, I got him a good set of clothes. For the final exam all the students passed with good marks. After the result I went back to Umreth.
